Job Description
Freight Icehouse & Yard Bar is looking for a barback to join our team! Responsibilities include batching our craft cocktails, stocking the bar with everything our bartenders need, maintaining our outdoor spaces and cleaning our bar and prep areas. If you'd like to gain experience in the bar industry and learn how to provide an excellent experience to our guests, we'd like to meet you. To be considered for this role, you should be available to work various shifts, including evenings and weekends. Skills Able to assist the bartenders by prepping garnishes, changing kegs, stocking reach-in refrigerators, refilling ice wells, etc. Able to remove used cups and garbage from tables in our yard Experience as a bar back or similar entry-level role in a bar or restaurant Understanding of hygiene and alcoholic beverage safety rules Physical ability and stamina to carry heavy trays and stand for long hours Availability to work various shifts, including weekends Multi-tasking abilities Good oral communication skills Ability to remain calm and professional in a fast-paced work environment
