Job Description
Job Overview We are seeking an energetic and personable Host/Bar Back 21+ to join our vibrant hospitality team. In this role, you will be the welcoming face of our establishment, ensuring guests have a seamless and enjoyable experience from their first greeting to their departure. You will assist with managing reservations, maintaining a lively and organized bar environment, and supporting the front-of-house operations to deliver exceptional guest services. This position offers an exciting opportunity to be part of a dynamic team dedicated to creating memorable moments for our patrons. Duties Greet guests warmly upon arrival, providing excellent customer service and guiding them through reservation processes when needed Manage restaurant reservations efficiently using restaurant table management systems to optimize seating flow and reduce wait times Support bartenders by restocking bar supplies, preparing garnishes, and maintaining cleanliness behind the bar area Assist with guest relations by addressing inquiries, providing menu recommendations, and ensuring overall guest satisfaction Handle phone communications professionally, including taking reservations, answering questions about services, and managing waitlist calls with proper phone etiquette Maintain organization of the dining area and bar space to ensure smooth service flow and adherence to food safety standards Support POS (Point of Sale) systems like Micros POS for order entry and billing processes accurately Requirements Previous experience as a host/hostess or in food service environments preferred, with a strong focus on guest relations and customer service excellence Familiarity with restaurant reservation management software and restaurant table management systems Basic math skills for handling cash transactions, bills, and accurate record-keeping Knowledge of POS systems such as Micros POS or similar platforms for efficient order processing Excellent communication skills, including phone etiquette and the ability to interact confidently with guests and team members Strong organizational skills to manage reservations, seating arrangements, and guest flow effectively Understanding of food safety practices and hospitality standards to ensure a safe environment for all guests and staff Must be 21 years or older to meet legal requirements for serving alcohol in our establishment Join us in creating an inviting atmosphere where every guest feels valued!
