Position Summary Hearth and Hill Sugar House is seeking a skilled and enthusiastic Bartender to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a passion for hospitality and a strong ability to create memorable experiences for our guests. As a Bartender, you will be responsible for preparing and serving beverages, maintaining a clean and organized bar area, and providing exceptional customer service in a fast-paced environment. The schedule requires availability for Sunday and Monday AM Shifts . Wage is $7.25 hourly + tips Responsibilities Prepare and serve alcoholic and non-alcoholic beverages according to standard recipes and customer preferences. Maintain cleanliness and organization of the bar area, including washing glassware and cleaning surfaces. Obtain and maintain product knowledge (including wine, beer, liquor, food) Engage with customers to provide excellent service; take drink orders and offer recommendations based on preferences. Operate the POS system for order entry and payment processing efficiently. Ensure compliance with food safety regulations and responsible alcohol service policies. Assist with catering events or banquets as required, ensuring timely service and presentation of beverages. Handle cash register transactions accurately while maintaining cash control procedures. Collaborate with kitchen staff to coordinate food orders when necessary. Experience & Skills Requirements Proven experience in bartending or a similar role is preferred Strong time management skills to handle multiple tasks efficiently in a busy environment. Excellent hospitality skills with the ability to engage positively with guests. Experience using a point-of-sale system is advantageous. Understanding of food safety practices and beverage preparation and service. Ability to work flexible hours, including evenings, weekends, and holidays as needed. Must be at least 21 years of age, following local laws regarding alcohol service. Must possess a Food Handler's and DABS certificate.
