Barback

The Beach at Birch Bay, also known as the world's only five star dive bar, is looking for a barback. The bar is a very fast-paced environment. We host large live music events that regularly brings in hundreds of people a night, many from across the border. We also have a dedicated following of regular customers. Our staff is very team oriented, everyone works hard, and the hard work pays off very well. Communication and collaboration are fundamental to our success.

Barback Responsibilities:

• Stock beer, liquor, wine, and other bar necessities and keep them topped off throughout the night.
• Keep tables clear of empty cups, bottles, plates, etc.
• Empty trash cans throughout the night.
• Communicate with bar staff to help with any other tasks that need doing including closing the bar at the end of the night.

Barback Qualifications/Skills:

• Prior restaurant experience is a plus, but not necessary.
• Must be comfortable working in a loud and busy environment.
• Must be capable of lifting heavy items, such as cases of beer, wine, liquor, and full trash bags.
• Team oriented, positive mentality.

The position is part-time and seasonal Shifts will be Friday, Saturday, and Sunday. Entertainment at our bar generally stops, at the latest, around 9, with the bar closing around 10 pm.

Pay:

$17.13 per hour
