Duties Greet guests warmly upon arrival and provide attentive, friendly service throughout their visit. Take accurate food and beverage orders using POS systems such as TOAST, ensuring timely delivery. Prepare and serve a variety of beverages, including cocktails, spirits, wine, and non-alcoholic options, demonstrating cocktail experience and spirits knowledge. Upsell menu items to enhance guest satisfaction and increase sales revenue through effective suggestive selling techniques. Handle cash transactions accurately, process sales through POS systems like OpenTable or other platforms, and manage cash handling responsibilities responsibly. Maintain cleanliness and sanitation standards in compliance with food safety regulations; assist with food preparation and bussing as needed. Provide exceptional guest services by addressing questions about menu items, offering wine recommendations, and ensuring overall guest satisfaction. Experience Previous experience in food service or restaurant environments is essential; fine dining experience is highly preferred. Demonstrated proficiency with POS systems such as Aloha POS or Micros POS; experience with Toast POS system is a plus. Strong knowledge of beverage service including cocktails, spirits, wine, and basic math for processing transactions accurately. Background in culinary arts or food industry roles that involve food handling, food safety practices, and food preparation. Excellent time management skills to handle multiple tables efficiently while maintaining high-quality service standards. Customer service orientation with proven ability to build guest relations and ensure positive dining experiences. Experience with serving in high-volume settings or hospitality environments that require quick thinking and adaptability.
