What You'll Do Prepare banquet rooms and bar areas for scheduled events Set up and break down bars for weddings, banquets, and special functions Perform opening and closing duties for each event Greet guests with a warm, friendly, and professional attitude Mix and serve alcoholic and non-alcoholic beverages responsibly Recommend cocktails, wine, and beer based on guest preferences Demonstrate strong knowledge of cocktails, spirits, wine, beer, and food pairings Accommodate guest allergies and special requests Communicate guest requests effectively with the kitchen and banquet team Assist with clearing and resetting tables when needed Handle guest concerns promptly and professionally Notify the Banquet Captain or Manager of any issues requiring attention Follow all cash handling policies and procedures Complete assigned side work and daily checklists Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment Work collaboratively with all hotel and banquet departments Follow all company policies and safety standards Qualifications High school diploma or GED required Valid alcohol service permit and all required state certifications Previous bartending experience required; banquet or event experience preferred Cash handling and basic math skills Excellent communication and guest service skills Ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment Professional appearance and positive attitude Dependable and able to work independently Available to work an on-call schedule, including evenings, weekends, and holidays Able to stand for extended periods and lift up to 30 pounds What We're Looking For A genuine passion for hospitality Friendly, outgoing personality Strong work ethic and reliability Ability to stay calm under pressure Team player who enjoys creating exceptional guest experiences Commitment to providing memorable service at every event
