Job Description

Job Overview 1855 is looking for an experienced barback to join our team. Duties Restock bar supplies, glassware, and utensils quickly and efficiently to keep service flowing smoothly Must be able to change and move kegs Restocking beer, wine, liquor Maintain cleanliness of the bar area, including wiping down surfaces, washing glassware, and sanitizing equipment Assist with bussing tables and clearing empty dishes to support overall restaurant cleanliness Handle dishwashing duties to ensure all glassware, utensils, and bar tools are sanitized and ready for use Provide friendly in-person customer service by assisting guests with their needs and ensuring a positive experience Greeting guests as they walk in, offering menus and waters when they sit down Requirements Previous experience in food service, restaurant settings, or hospitality is preferred but not required; enthusiasm and willingness to learn are key! Knowledge of food handling safety standards and proper sanitation procedures Ability to stand, bend, lift, and move quickly for extended periods in a busy environment Strong communication skills with a friendly attitude toward guests and team members Experience with beverage preparation, dishwashing, or catering is advantageous but not mandatory A background in guest services or host/hostess roles can enhance your ability to connect with customers
Pay:
$15.00 - $30.00 per hour
