We are looking for a Server Assistant / Food Runner / Busser to join our team and help keep service moving seamlessly. Position Overview The Server Assistant / Food Runner / Busser is a critical member of The William's service team. This is a utility service position designed to support the server and entire dining room team by anticipating needs, delivering food and beverages, maintaining table presentation, clearing and resetting tables, and helping the restaurant operate with efficiency and attention to detail. The ideal candidate understands that great service is a team effort. You will work closely with servers, bartenders, hosts, managers, and the kitchen to ensure guests receive a polished, seamless, and welcoming dining experience. Upscale or fine-dining restaurant experience is preferred. Candidates with strong hospitality experience and the right attitude are encouraged to apply. Key Responsibilities Support servers throughout the entire guest experience Assist in maintaining the pace and flow of service Deliver food from the kitchen to the correct table promptly and accurately Assist servers with running multiple dishes and larger parties Ensure food is delivered with proper presentation and attention to detail Clear, clean, and reset tables efficiently and discreetly Assist with pre-bussing throughout the meal Maintain clean and organized dining room areas Replenish water, glassware, silverware, napkins, and other service supplies Assist servers with table maintenance and guest requests Help prepare the dining room before service and restore it after service Communicate effectively with the kitchen and front-of-house team Assist with carrying trays and safely handling food and beverages Anticipate the needs of servers and guests before being asked Assist with maintaining a clean, organized, and fully stocked service area Support the team during high-volume periods wherever needed Follow all food-safety, sanitation, and restaurant operating standards The Ideal Candidate We are looking for someone who is: Team-oriented and naturally helpful Energetic and comfortable working at a fast pace Highly attentive to detail Dependable, punctual, and accountable Able to anticipate needs and take initiative Comfortable working in an upscale dining environment Professional, polished, and guest-focused Able to communicate clearly with both front- and back-of-house teams Comfortable receiving direction while also recognizing what needs to be done Able to remain composed and productive during busy service periods Upscale Dining Experience Preferred Experience in an upscale, fine-dining, steakhouse, hotel, or high-volume restaurant environment is preferred.
