Job Description

Food service workers' activities range from food preparation to serving meals to our customers. They interact with customers, welcome them, take their orders, explain our menu options, prepare/cook food, do deli housekeeping such as cleaning equipment, vents, mopping floors, among other duties.
Job Responsibilities:
Provide excellent experience for our customers. Serve customers in a fast, efficient and friendly manner. Provide customers with food information, ingredients, availability, pricing and suggestions. Food preparation, such as rinsing, peeling and slicing. Use food production equipment, such as grill, broiler, deep-fryer, and others. Cook and serve different types of food and beverages to customers. Help receive inventory and store food appropriately. Keep deli organized. Keep deli facilities clean and sanitized. Cleaning of equipment, dishes, utensils, pots, pans and other containers. Following established recipes and guidelines to prepare menu items. Adhere to food safety regulations. Escalating customers concerns and complaints to management.
Skills / Abilities
Requirements Strong work ethic and energy. Excellent attention to detail. Ability to work in a fast-paced environment. Ability to operate cooking and food preparation equipment. Ability to multi-task and prioritize. Good verbal communication. Must be self-motivated. Must be available weekends and variable shifts. Must be over 21 years of age. Physical Requirements Prolonged periods of standing and walking. Frequent bending, stooping, squatting. Ability to carry/lift up to 25 lbs.
  • Frequently reaching at or below the shoulder level.
  • Frequent reaching overhead.
  • Occasionally climbing or use of step ladder.
  • Ability to verbally communicate with customers and other employees.
  • Must be able to navigate all areas of deli.

Pay:
From $17.50 per hour Expected hours: 15.0 - 20.0 per week
