Required Years of Experience 1 year Job Details We are currently seeking a dedicated, detail-oriented Polisher to join our team at The Blue Box Café. In this role, you will play a vital part in upholding the restaurant's impeccable standards by ensuring that all glassware, flatware, and service items are flawlessly clean, polished, and presentation-ready. Your work directly contributes to delivering a seamless and elevated dining experience for our guests.
Key Responsibilities:
Clean, polish, and inspect all glassware, silverware, and dining room essentials to ensure they are spotless, streak-free, and meet fine dining standards
Maintain an organized and efficient polishing station to support the pace of service
Sort, store, and restock polished items in designated areas for easy access by the service team
Identify and remove any chipped, damaged, or substandard items from circulation
Assist with dishwashing operations as needed, including loading and unloading dish machines
Uphold strict cleanliness, sanitation, and safety standards in accordance with Health Department regulations and Dinex Group guidelines
Communicate effectively with front-of-house and back-of-house teams to ensure smooth service flow
Support additional operational tasks as needed, demonstrating flexibility and a team-first approach
Competencies & Qualifications:
- Minimum of 1 year of experience in a high-volume restaurant or hospitality environment preferred
- General knowledge of and interest in food and wine, with an understanding of service flow
- Ability to take direction and complete tasks efficiently and accurately
- Strong organizational skills and effective time management
- Professional demeanor with the ability to remain composed in a fast-paced environment
- Clear and positive written and verbal communication skills
- Team-oriented mindset with a strong work ethic
- Impeccable grooming and adherence to company dress code standards. Physical Requirements Ability to stand for long periods of time
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs
