Maintain immaculate table settings throughout service, promptly clearing dirty dishes, glassware, and debris to ensure a clean and inviting dining environment. Assist servers and bartenders in delivering food and beverages to guests, expediting service and ensuring timely delivery of orders. Collaborate with the service team to anticipate guests' needs, provide additional utensils or condiments, and address any special requests promptly. Communicate effectively with colleagues to coordinate tasks, prioritize assignments, and maintain seamless service flow throughout the dining area.
Beverage and Glassware Maintenance:
Collect empty glassware and beverage containers from tables, bars, and service stations, ensuring they are promptly cleaned, polished, and restocked. Monitor beverage levels and ice supply, replenishing as needed to support efficient bar and service operations. Handle glassware with care to prevent breakage or damage, adhering to safety protocols and proper handling procedures.
Cleaning and Sanitization:
Maintain cleanliness and orderliness throughout the dining area, including tables, chairs, floors, and service stations. Regularly sanitize high-touch surfaces, such as door handles, handrails, and restroom fixtures, to ensure a safe and hygienic environment for guests and staff. Assist in cleaning and organizing back-of-house areas, including dishwashing stations, storage areas, and employee facilities, as needed.
Guest Assistance and Hospitality:
Extend a warm and courteous greeting to guests upon arrival, offering assistance with seating, coat check, or directions as needed. Respond promptly to guest inquiries, requests, and concerns, demonstrating a helpful and accommodating attitude at all times. Anticipate guests' needs proactively, offering refills, clearing dishes, and providing assistance with genuine warmth and hospitality.
Team Collaboration and Communication:
Work collaboratively with fellow bussers, servers, bartenders, and kitchen staff to ensure synchronized service and a seamless dining experience. Communicate effectively with colleagues to coordinate tasks, share information, and address any issues or concerns that arise during service. Provide support and assistance to teammates during busy periods, demonstrating a willingness to pitch in and help wherever needed.
Professionalism and Presentation:
Maintain a neat and professional appearance at all times, adhering to uniform standards and grooming guidelines established by the restaurant. Requirements:
Previous experience as a busser or in a similar support role in a high-end restaurant or luxury hospitality environment preferred. Strong attention to detail and a commitment to maintaining cleanliness and orderliness throughout the dining area. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively as part of a team. Flexibility to work evenings, weekends, and holidays as required to accommodate the restaurant's operating hours. Physical stamina and the ability to stand, walk, lift, and carry items for extended periods in a fast-paced environment.
