Job Description
Position Overview The Food Truck Assistant supports the Food Truck and Events Lead in operating the Food Truck at our Brewery location. This role focuses on food preparation, event support, transportation of supplies, maintaining high standards of food safety and cleanliness and providing customer service. The ideal candidate is organized, reliable, and passionate about delivering exceptional food experiences to our guests. This is an hourly position at $18-20 an hour with the opportunity to earn additional income through tips. Duties of this position include but are not limited to: Prepare food ingredients according to Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) Assist the Food Truck Lead with tasks as needed to support food truck operations Train with the Food Program Coordinator to fully understand their duties and be able to serve as a substitute when required Provide exceptional customer service by taking food orders, ringing up and managing food orders Transport food, equipment, and dishes between the Brewery and Libation Lodge locations Maintain compliance with health codes, including proper food storage, handling, and kitchen cleanliness Work closely with Brewery staff and Libation Lodge staff to coordinate operations and ensure smooth service Train in food ordering procedures and working with vendors to supply the food truck Set up and break down equipment for Bear Bites Food Truck Requirements Previous experience cooking in a commercial kitchen Regular, predictable attendance is required Ability to get along with and work effectively with others Have a friendly, professional, and positive attitude Serve as a collaborative team member with passion and enthusiasm for food, cooking, and SLBC Physically capable of a variety of duties including but not limited to repeated lifting without assistance, extended amounts of standing etc. Strong organizational and problem-solving skills Ability to work flexible hours, including evenings and weekends for events Excellent communication and collaboration skills PERKS of the job: Be a part of the growing SLBC team (less than 50 employees) and work for a local small business and a staple in the craft beer community of the Lake Tahoe Basin Live and work in South Lake Tahoe, CA enjoying all the perks of the jewel of the Sierras in your backyard!
