Job Description

ESSENTIAL JOB DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
Regular and reliable attendance is a fundamental requirement of this position. Employees are expected to be punctual and consistently present during their scheduled work hours to ensure the effective and efficient operation of the business. Receive and assess food orders from servers and kitchen staff. Relay any modifications or special instructions to the kitchen staff. Verify the correctness and completeness of orders, making certain that special requests and dietary restrictions are duly noted. Oversee the plating and presentation of dishes, ensuring they align with established quality and presentation standards. Confirm that all necessary garnishes, condiments, or additional items are included with each order. Monitor the readiness of entire orders for parties and coordinate with servers to ensure prompt delivery to customers. Conduct regular quality checks on food items to ensure they meet the restaurant's standards and specifications. Acts as liaison between the front of house and back of house. Maintain continuous communication with the kitchen team to monitor the progress of food preparation. Promote effective communication and collaboration among kitchen staff, servers, and management, promptly communicating delays, changes, or challenges to all relevant parties. Transmit customer feedback, concerns, or special requests to the appropriate personnel. Maintains a calm demeanor during periods of high volume. Maintain a well-organized and clean expediting station, ensuring it is stocked with necessary supplies. Uphold food safety and sanitation standards. Clear tables of used dishes, utensils, and trash. Efficiently and promptly reset tables by wiping them down and arranging seating. Collaborate with the waitstaff to promptly refill water glasses, replace used utensils, clearing plates between courses, providing condiments, and any additional assistance as required. Responsively and courteously attend to guest requests to ensure their needs are met to enhance their overall dining experience. Maintain a well-stocked supply of utensils, napkins, condiments, and other essential items. Monitor and upkeep the cleanliness of restrooms, conducting regular checks, cleaning as necessary, and consistently restocking supplies. Assist with general cleaning tasks, such as sweeping, mopping, vacuuming, and dusting. Adhere to all safety and sanitation regulations to maintain a secure working environment for both staff and guests. Performs other duties, including special projects, as needed or requested.
QUALIFICATION REQUIREMENTS
Demonstrated experience performing within specific deadlines or under pressure. Demonstrated excellent customer service. Previous experience in a similar role within the hospitality industry is preferred. Strong attention to detail and the ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment. Proficiency in organization and effective task prioritization. Flexibility to work varying shifts, including evenings, weekends, and holidays, as dictated by business needs.
EDUCATION AND/OR EXPERIENCE
Graduation from high school or equivalent is preferred. One (1) or more years of recent and related hospitality or restaurant experience is preferred.
CERTIFICATES, LICENSES, REGISTRATIONS
Successful completion of Bloodborne Pathogens and hazardous material training is preferred.
OTHER SKILLS/ABILITIES
Strong attention to detail and maintaining accuracy in a fast paced environment. Effective communication and interpersonal skills. Knowledge of safety and sanitation practices in a restaurant setting. Capability to work collaboratively as part of a team and communicate effectively with colleagues and guests. Exceptional customer service skills with a friendly and approachable demeanor.
PHYSICAL DEMANDS
Essential duties involve performing physical exertion, including frequent brisk walking, climbing stairs, bending, stretching, reaching, pushing, kneeling, squatting, crouching, stooping, and standing for an entire work shift with standard breaks. Essential duties may involve working in a small area with floors that may become slippery in the process of preparing food and drinks. Essential duties require lifting trays, plates, pots, pans, and other cooking utensils. Essential duties include lifting up to 30 pounds to stack, store, or move, kitchen, restaurant, or general office supplies and equipment. Essential duties involve a flexible workweek, including weekends and holidays, with additional hours routinely required.
COMPENSATION AND BENEFITS
