Job Description

OPEN UNTIL FILLED
This is a part-time position serving food and assisting with a congregate meal program for senior patrons at the Adult Community Center. Work hours are generally from 7:45 AM to 1:30 PM, Monday through Friday (approximately 27 hours/week). Some work may be required on holidays. Handles and serves food using proper food-handling and food-safety techniques in accordance with established policies and procedures. Brews and prepares coffee for daily meal service. Assists senior patrons, including those with limited mobility, by carrying and delivering food trays. Busses, cleans, and sets tables. Washes dishes, removes trash, sweeps floors, and maintains clean and organized kitchen and dining areas. Assists with meal preparation and setup as needed. Rotates among food-service duties and assists with other Adult Community Center services based on operational needs. Works cooperatively as part of a team and willingly assists coworkers with assigned tasks. Performs other duties as assigned. High school diploma or equivalent One (1) year of food service or related experience Ability to follow written and oral instructions Ability and willingness to work as part of a team, remain flexible, and perform different duties based on operational needs. Ability to lift 15 pounds and stand for extended periods Dependable attendance and work performance Prior to employment, successful candidates for this position must pass a fingerprint-based criminal background check and a drug test.
