SCOPE OF RESPONSIBILITY
To ensure that all necessary Guest Services department activities are accomplished in accordance with company core values/ TEAM
MEMBER GUIDEBOOK
Prior to being assigned to the position, a complete understanding of the hotel's Team Member Guidebook is necessary since the person holding the position will be subjected to these rules and regulations. 1.
ESSENTIAL TASKS
a. Greet all customers who approach the breakfast area in a smiling, friendly manner. b. Set up, stock and break down the breakfast each day. c. Replenish breakfast on an ongoing basis while it is open. Keep breakfast area clean and safe. Is visible in breakfast area to attend to guests needs. d. Occasionally responsible for ordering and maintaining of stock of food items, paper goods, ensure that food is fresh and is not over expiration date, perform rotation of stock items. e. Ensure that food order is sufficient for meeting room functions. f. Ensure that all trash is emptied as needed and brought to proper dumpster. g. Break down breakfast bar, clean and put away all breakfast bar containers and supplies daily. h. Keep pantry and stock room fully stocked and cleaned on a daily basis. Ensures that all leftover food is kept sealed and in sanitary conditions. i. Minimize waste of food through spoilage or over preparing of food. j. Clean and mop all surfaces and floors in breakfast bar daily. Keep all tables, chairs and shelving in breakfast bar clean and in order. k. May be responsible for correct coding and filing of all invoices for purchases of breakfast bar. l. Check team member website for any meeting room breaks, set up and break down of coffee service, lunches and afternoon breaks, etc. Communicate with Guest Service Manager to ensure that these events are manned and go smoothly to hotel and guest satisfaction. m. Clear and clean tables on an ongoing basis while guests depart breakfast area. o. Maintain familiarity with emergency plans and fire safety system. p. Implement all rules of operation, service standards, and marketing programs as required by the brand. q. Provide pleasant, efficient and friendly guest service. Maintain a professional attitude and appearance in all guest areas. s. Maintain beverage stations at all times. t. Earn state certification for Food Handling (Company Sponsored Training). u. Other duties as assigned.
