This is a part time position This is a professional position on a residential campus and is responsible for various duties to include: Will work as a member of the food services team to provide nutritional meals and safeguard the health residential clients, staff and visitors. Prepares and serves food in accordance with established menus Monitors the use of food and prepares additional quantities as needed Properly stores dietary supplies according to department procedures Note any safety issues which will require immediate notification of Program Coordinator or School Office Participate in Monthly Environment of Care inspections and ensure compliance with Joint Commission Standards of care. Devereux Qualifications:
EDUCATION
: High school graduate or equivalent. Additional training in food preparation preferred. Must be able to read at 12th grade level.EXPERIENCE
At least one year food preparation experience in an institutional setting. Previous experience with the National Lunch Program is preferred.PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS
Ability to lift 30 to 50 pounds, walk, run, stoop, kneel, push/pull and reach above shoulders.Other Requirements:
Successfully pass pre-employment medical screenings which include: Drug Screen, Physical, Physical Abilities Test, TB Test and Influenza Vaccine Valid driver's license Devereux requires all individuals interviewing for a position involving contact with children to complete The Diana Screen, a screening that assesses a candidate's understanding of appropriate boundaries between adults and children.
