Job Description

Busser Part-time Busser Hourly Pay $14.75 (Minimum Wage less Tip Credit) + approximately $5 to $15 per hour in tips, depending on sales and shifts worked, higher tips on weekend shifts. As a Busser at Gyotaku Pearl City, you will play a vital role in maintaining a clean, organized, and welcoming dining environment that enhances the overall guest experience. You will contribute to the smooth operation of the restaurant by assisting the servers, cashier hosts, cooks and management team. This role requires a proactive attitude and attention to detail to help maintain high standards of hygiene and presentation. Ultimately, your efforts will directly impact guest satisfaction and the restaurant's reputation for excellent service in the competitive accommodation and food services industry.
Responsibilities:
Clear and reset tables quickly and efficiently to prepare for incoming guests. Assist servers by refilling water glasses, and responding to guest requests as needed. Maintain cleanliness in the dining area, including sweeping floors, wiping down surfaces, and managing trash disposal. Restock service stations with necessary supplies such as napkins, utensils, and glassware. Collaborate with kitchen and waitstaff to ensure smooth communication and timely service.
Minimum Qualifications:
Basic understanding of food safety and hygiene standards. Strong work ethic and willingness to perform physically demanding tasks. Effective communication skills to interact courteously with team members and guests. Ability to stand and walk for extended periods during shifts. Availability to work flexible hours including evenings, weekends, and holidays.
