Job Description The Assistant Food & Beverage Director supports the Food & Beverage Director in overseeing all aspects of Food and Beverage operations on Chatham Hills property, including, but not limited to: our main dining restaurant, casual restaurant, outdoor pool, banquets & private events, golf outings, and more. This role focuses on daily operational excellence, staff leadership, training, service standards, and coordination of special events while maintaining a high-quality, member-focused environment. General Duties Assist Leadership Team
  • It is the responsibility of the Assistant Food and Beverage Director (AFBD) to resolve any member issues.
AFBD is also sometimes responsible for closing out and posting the end of the day, and assisting with the opening/closing of the club/dining outlets. Assist with the management of the dining outlets: If a member has an issue with the food or service, the AFBD may step in to try to resolve the issue. They are responsible for ensuring exceptional member service. Assist with management of all events
  • Work with the Banquet Management Team to ensure all events are properly set, fully staffed, and prepared prior to the event start time.
Implement policies and procedures for food and beverage departments. Assure that effective orientation and training for new staff and professional development activities for experienced staff are implemented. This includes creating a consistent training program for new hires in order to ensure that they are set up for success. Assist the Director of Food & Beverage in completing P&Ls accurately and on time. Assist the Director of Food & Beverage with all menu changes. Assist the Director of Food & Beverage in monitoring performance and taking corrective action as needed to ensure budgeted sales and cost goals are achieved. Assist with budgeting, forecasting, inventory controls, and labor management. Assures that all standard operating procedures for sales and cost control are in place and consistently utilized. Sets an example of professional behavior and exceptional customer service for all team members. Connects and engages with Club membership in a professional manner. Personally handles selected member and guest complaints and advises the Management about appropriate corrective actions taken. Scheduling
  • Review weekly schedules prepared by the Food & Beverage Manager and the Banquets Operations Manager to ensure adequate coverage and alignment with budgeted labor costs. Act as Manager on Duty (MOD) as scheduled, responding to member needs and resolving service issues promptly and professionally. Hours
  • 40+ hours a week (not limited to), being able to work weekends, nights, mornings
  • Being Flexible Qualifications 3-5 years of progressive leadership experience in food & beverage, hospitality, or club management.
Strong leadership, communication, and organizational skills. Ability to balance administrative tasks with hands-on operational leadership. Impeccable professionalism, attention to detail, and commitment to member service. Ability to work a flexible schedule, including evenings, weekends, and holidays as required.
Pay:
$60,000.00
