The Busser/Hospitality Assistant is a vital part of the guest experience, ensuring smooth and efficient service by supporting the hospitality team. Guided by the Hospitality Lead, this role focuses on creating a welcoming environment by assisting with table turns, maintaining cleanliness, and managing real-time updates on the Yelp iPad for accurate table statuses. As a key support role in guest service, the Busser/Hospitality Assistant anticipates and fulfills guest needs, contributing to a warm, seamless, and memorable dining experience.

Candidates must be at least 18 years of age to meet the legal requirements for facilitating the sale of alcoholic beverages.

Job Duties:

Assist with table turns by bussing, cleaning, and resetting tables efficiently for incoming Update the Yelp iPad in real time to reflect table availability and status. Support the hospitality team in ensuring all guests receive exceptional service. Assist with filling waters, running food, and checking on to-go orders to ensure accuracy and prompt service. Deliver silverware, napkins, and other necessary items to guests as needed Maintain cleanliness and organization of the dining area, including outdoor seating Work collaboratively with servers, hosts, and management to uphold a high standard of service. Maintain a warm, welcoming demeanor and provide proactive guest assistance. Maintain strong attention to detail while multitasking in a fast-paced environment. Communicate effectively with guests and team members to ensure seamless service. Demonstrate a positive and hospitable attitude, always prioritizing guest satisfaction. Utilize technology, including the Yelp iPad, to manage table statuses accurately. Collaborate with the hospitality team to create a welcoming and efficient dining experience. Adapt quickly to changing needs and assist in various service areas as required. Apply previous hospitality, bussing, or hosting experience when applicable, though training is provided for all team members.

Minimum Requirements:

High school diploma or equivalent preferred (but not required) Proven experience in a customer-facing role, preferably in a hospitality or restaurant setting. Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with a focus on positive guest interactions. Ability to remain calm and composed during busy or high-pressure situations. A genuine passion for delivering exceptional guest service. Must be able to work flexible hours, including weekends and holidays.

Essential Physical Functions:

Ability to speak and hear. Close and distant vision required. Frequent walking, with occasional periods of standing. May walk for extended periods or long distances. Frequently lifts/carries up to 25 lbs. Occasionally lifts/carries up to 50 lbs. Ability to reach hands and arms in any direction and to kneel and stoop repeatedly.

Working Conditions:

Varying schedule, including evenings, holidays, and extended hours as business dictates. While performing the duties of this job, the employee is frequently exposed to heat and cold from mechanical equipment. The noise level in the work environment is typically moderate to loud. Will work near moving or mechanical parts. May work near toxic or caustic chemicals and with fumes or airborne particles.
