Hiring Agency General Government Cabinet | Department of Veterans Affairs Location 1111 Veterans Way Bowling Green, KY 42101 USA Description The Robert E. Spiller Bowling Green Veterans Center is a 60-bed long term care facility located in beautiful Bowling Green, Kentucky that is committed to serving Kentucky's Veterans by fostering independence, preserving dignity and providing compassionate care. We are currently seeking Food Service Workers to care for our Veterans. Join our team if you want to give back to those who have given so much for our Country. Responsibilities may include, but are not limited to: Serves nutritious meals to our residents Maintains kitchen work areas, equipment and utensils and ensures they are properly cleaned and sanitized. Learns to prepare items for residents and ensures proper stocks levels are maintained for kitchen areas assigned. The ideal candidate will work within a team-centered environment to meet our commitment to serving Kentucky's Veterans by fostering independence, preserving dignity, and providing compassionate care. This agency is prohibited from hiring employees with convictions identified in 906 KAR 1:190. A fingerprint- supported national background check will be conducted prior to an offer of employment. This position, in the Bowling Green Veterans Center, Dietary Services Department, in Warren County has an approved Locality Premium of $4.97 in compliance with 101 KAR 2:034 Section 9(1). This job classification is approved for the following shift premiums, in compliance with 101 KAR 2:034 Section 9(2), which are applied to the base salary: Second and Third shift: 15%
