Hampton Inn & Suites-Hopkinsville, KY PURPOSE:
Responsibilities include, but are not limited to, hosting the hotel guest at breakfast. This position requires the breakfast attendant to deliver elevated levels of service with a friendly greeting directing hotel guests through the breakfast experience in a helpful, friendly, courteous and professional manner to ensure total guest satisfaction and to bid the guest a fond farewell with a smile. Also responsible for ensuring that the breakfast food and beverage presentation is neat, orderly, often stirred and always hot or cold as required, fresh and well supplied. This position requires a comprehensive knowledge of all local health ordinances and all Hampton Inn & Suites-Hopkinsville, KY breakfast standards.RESPONSIBLITIES

Answers questions regarding the hotel facilities and services Answering guest inquiries to include accurate area directions and local area attractions and area specific information. Recommending local area restaurants, points of interests and / or needs for transportation. Interacting with other departments and employees to ensure a good working relationship for all guest needs. Understands and implements (when necessary) all emergency procedures for incidents, accidents, fire, safety or criminal activity. This includes knowledge and location of all utility shut down equipment and sprinkler and fire alarm knowledge and system locations. Ensures security for the hotel's customers, employees and property assets. Supports established policies and procedures for H&N Hospitality Management and Hampton Inn & Suites-Hopkinsville, KY. Responsible for following instructions and performing work as assigned by a supervisor or the General Manager. Responsible for continual positive interaction with guest during breakfast hours. Accurately verifying invoices to delivered goods. Maintain and report temperature logs on all refrigeration equipment. Responsible for daily inventory checks of food items to ensure proper levels are maintained in relation to guest occupancy and to ensure waste is minimal. Responsible for positive inventory control methods (FIFO) including dating of perishables in a manner to ensure freshness and quality of all food items in accordance with local health regulations. Always Maintain a clean and organized work area. Responsible for monitoring the hotel dining area/lobby to ensure cleanliness, guest presentation and acting to correct any deficiencies. Responsible for the preparation, set up and presentation of the morning hotel breakfast program as established by Hampton Inn & Suites-Hopkinsville, KY standards and local health code. Responsible for the breakfast set up, presentation, freshness and temperature control of all times always throughout the morning service. Responsible for monitoring guest flow through the buffet, ensuring the prompt menu item replacements are frequently made to consistently maintain an exceptional presentation. Responsible for monitoring sanitation and safety opportunities and reporting or correction of any deficiencies Responsible for notifying the General Manager in the event of a guest or employee accident or incident. Responsible for directing guest to safety in the event of a fire or other emergency. Responsible for removing and keeping soiled dishes and refuse from guest view. Responsible for ensuring the breakfast set up is timely and ready to serve during the standard times set by Hampton Inn & Suites-Hopkinsville, KY. Responsible for the breakdown, storage and cleaning of breakfast set up and overall cleanup of the pantry, serving areas, tables, chairs, floors and equipment. Responsible for daily pull and thaw checklist and completing all prep work for the following day and/or shift. Responsible for placing regular orders per schedule of deliveries with food vendors, subject to approval by the General ManagerBREAKFAST ATTENDANT
Responsible for responding to guest opportunities in a positive prompt manner, while implementing a solution and providing follow up. Ensure communication of the opportunity and resolution takes place with the Department and/or GM. Responsible for the cleanliness of lobby area, pool area and public restrooms as assigned by a supervisor or General Manager to include, if applicable, the stocking of supplies when requested. Must have comprehensive knowledge of food and beverage preparations, service standards as directed by Hampton Inn & Suites-Hopkinsville, KY with emphasis in guest relations and dining etiquette. Must have knowledge of all menu items, serving standards, brand menu requirements/rotation of menu items and equipment standards and accompaniments. Knowledge and ordering of appropriate table settings, service ware and menu items. Must have the ability to read, speak and write the English language to communicate with guest. Must have exceptional guest relation skills. If required, must be able to obtain any necessary standard local health service permit. (Serv-Safe certified) Responsible for knowledge, review and training of all safety procedures as outlined in the Hampton Inn & Suites-Hopkinsville, KY safety manual. Responsible for reporting all suspicious persons or activities, hazardous conditions to management and/or front desk.Job Type:
