Job Description

Belchertown Public Schools- Jabish Brook Middle School 3.5 hour Food Service Prep and Recovery Worker (9:30-1:00 or 10:00-1:30) Applications are being accepted for a Food Service Prep and Recovery Worker (FSPRW) opening at Jabish Brook Middle School . This position reports to the cook manager, and food service director.
FSPRW qualifications include:
previous school food service experience, preferred willingness to take a servsafe certification course and test ability to lift up to 40 lbs.
Responsibilities include:
performs assigned tasks and learns all stations required for operation of a school cafeteria. assistance with food prep as directed by the cook manager help set up counters and serving areas. sink room duties. general assistance in cleaning, sanitizing and maintenance of all kitchen and cafeteria areas. serve lunch using portion control. identify reimbursable meals at the point of sale, and perform cashier related duties. fill in and help other workers when needed. ensure menus posted on all daily boards. complete annual mandatory training. FSPRW will be assigned to one location, but may be required to fill in at other locations as per the food service director's determination.
