Position Summary:

The Concession Worker is responsible for preparing, selling, and serving food and beverages at school events. This role ensures a safe, clean, and welcoming environment for students, staff, families, and visitors while maintaining excellent customer service.

Key Responsibilities:

Greet and assist customers in a friendly, professional manner. Prepare and serve food and beverages according to safety and health guidelines. Operate cash registers, handle cash, and provide accurate change. Restock supplies and maintain product displays during events. Keep concession stand clean, sanitized, and organized before, during, and after service. Follow food handling, safety, and sanitation standards as required by school and state regulations. Assist with opening and closing duties, including set-up and tear-down of concession stand. Communicate effectively with team members, volunteers, and supervisors. Report inventory shortages or equipment issues to supervisor.

Qualifications:

Prior food service or retail experience preferred, but not required. Ability to handle cash and operate a point-of-sale system accurately. Strong communication and customer service skills. Must be reliable, punctual, and able to work evenings during school events. Ability to stand for long periods and lift up to 25 lbs. Knowledge of food safety and sanitation procedures preferred (training may be provided).

Work Environment:

Fast-paced, customer-facing environment at school athletic events, performances, or activities. Evening based on event schedules. 4:30 pm-8:30 pm Start date: September 12, 2025
