Job Description
Join the crew at the Furniture and Things Community Event Center in the position of Event Worker. Event Workers provide food and beverage service at catered events, including food preparation, setup, serving, and cleanup. Ensures areas remain clean, organized, stocked, and secure while delivering courteous customer service. Responsible for legal liquor sales and verifying customers' age, operating cash registers, processing payments, and handling money according to established procedures. Performs routine equipment cleaning, reports maintenance needs, and may serve as lead worker in the absence of the Concessions Supervisor. Qualified candidates will have experience handling money and dealing with the public. Minimum 18 years of age. Experience with alcohol sales and bar service is a plus. Hours of work 4:30 p.m. to 10:00 p.m. evenings and weekends. The City of Elk River is an Equal Opportunity Employer.
