In this energetic role, you will be responsible for preparing and serving a delicious, high-quality breakfast buffet, ensuring all food safety standards are meticulously followed. Responsibilities Prepare and replenish breakfast items, ensuring freshness, presentation, and adherence to food safety sanitizing procedures. Set up and maintain the breakfast buffet area, including arranging food displays and ensuring cleanliness throughout service. Greet guests warmly in person, providing attentive service and answering any questions about menu options or dietary needs. Operate kitchen equipment safely and efficiently, including toasters, coffee machines, and warming trays. Handle food handling tasks with precision, including portioning, plating, and maintaining proper food temperatures. Process cash transactions accurately using POS systems while managing weight handling in the workplace for food items. Maintain cleanliness by cleaning workstations, utensils, and equipment regularly in compliance with food safety management standards. Assist with catering or banquet setups as needed, supporting larger events with professionalism and enthusiasm. Follow all food industry regulations related to dietary restrictions, allergy awareness, and food safety protocols. Collaborate with team members to ensure smooth service flow during busy breakfast hours. Experience Previous restaurant or food service experience is highly preferred, especially in fine dining or hospitality settings. Experience with food preparation, serving, or catering enhances your ability to excel in this role. Knowledge of wine or bartending skills can be an added advantage for guest interactions. Familiarity with operating POS systems and processing cash transactions accurately is beneficial. Demonstrated ability to follow food safety sanitizing procedures and manage manual handling tasks efficiently. Experience working in banquet or catering environments supports adaptability during large or special events. A background in culinary arts or dietary aide roles provides a strong foundation for success in this position.
