The employee in this position is responsible for obtaining supplies, menu items as needed and insure the quality, the quantity of food, supplies and equipment. Duties also include planning of menus, preparing food and serving meals, maintaining food preparation and serving areas, baking, and/or supervision of subordinate food service workers as well as other related work within the detention facility. Applicants must possess a high school education, GED, or equivalent, with two year of commercial, institutional or large-scale cooking experience required. (Coursework or training in cooking or food preparation may be substituted on a month-for-month basis)
