Job Description
Hiring Immediately. Nights, weekends, holidays off, and summer off! 7 hour/day positions available. Responsible for the preparation and serving of food, as well as ensuring cleanliness standards are maintained at all times. Southwest Foodservice Excellence is looking for hard working individuals who are focused on student satisfaction, who are eager to learn, and will work well with other staff members. We are seeking those who are thorough in all aspects of their work and time management orientated. Job Responsibilities The preparation of menu items in accordance with departmental policies/procedures. Ensuring food presentation standards are satisfied and maintained Following recipes and preparing food in a high-quality fashion that is appealing to students and staff Assuring food is prepared in sufficient quantities to satisfy customer needs on a daily basis Performing cleaning responsibilities as required. Providing excellent customer service to students, staff, and visitors. Serving food in the correct portion sizes. Serving food that is hot when it is supposed to be hot, and cold when the food is supposed to be cold. Setting up, maintaining, and breaking down the salad bar. Receiving food deliveries in cooperative and efficient manner with the help of other staff members Cleaning the cafeteria and kitchen Ensuring food is being prepared and served in sanitary conditions at all times. Showing up to work when scheduled Job Requirements The ability to lift/move items weighing up to 40 pounds The ability to stand for long periods of time Although previous foodservice experience is favorable, it is not required. Food Handlers Certificate Criminal Fingerprint Clearance Card (More information available when an application is picked up)
