Job Description
At our on-mountain restaurant, The Whistlestop, Quick Service Attendants are responsible for providing guests with prepared food items, beverages, and general knowledge of the mountain and resort. This position rotates between the roles of cashier, guest service, bussing, and food preparation responsibilities while ensuring the space remains clean, well-stocked, and guest-ready throughout the day. Essential Job Responsibilities:
Provide friendly, efficient, and knowledgeable service while creating a welcoming experience for every guestOperate the point-of-sale system to accurately process guest orders and payments in a high-volume environmentComplete opening and closing duties in accordance with departmental checklists and standard operating proceduresDevelop and maintain a working knowledge of menu offerings, daily specials, ingredients, allergen information, and resort operations to confidently answer guest questions and make recommendationsPractice and uphold responsible alcohol service while complying with all applicable laws and company policiesAssist with food preparation, food assembly, and beverage service while following established recipes, portion standards, and food safety proceduresMonitor guest satisfaction by responding to requests, addressing concerns, and communicating issuesParticipate in supply runs, including loading, unloading, and organizing products and suppliesSet-up, arrange, and break down outdoor dining areas, including picnic tables, chairs, and fencing, ensuring guest areas are safe, organized, and operationalPrepare outdoor dining areas for changing weather conditions by stacking furniture and as required for grooming or significant snowfallAssist with snow removal around entrances and walkways to maintain safe accessMaintain clean, organized, and sanitary guest areas, dining spaces, service stations, and work areas, including restocking supplies, removing trash and recycling, and completing routine cleaning dutiesReliable attendance on all scheduled workdaysOther duties as assignedPersonal Skills:

Must already have or be willing to complete the New Mexico Food Handlers Certification upon hireMust already have or be willing to complete the New Mexico Alcohol Server Certification upon hire This position requires skiing or snowboarding as the sole mode of travel to the restaurant. Must be able to demonstrate sufficient skiing or snowboarding to be qualifiedExperience working in a fast-paced restaurant environment preferredExperience in using Square Point of Sale preferred.Is self-motivated and capable of working diligently without constant supervisionAbility to communicate clearly and effectively with co-workers and guestsAbility to work a flexible schedule including mornings, weekends, holidays, and evenings
