Job Description

Connect Staffing is hiring a Food Service Worker for a banquet hall serving meals to construction workers on a large data center project in McCarran, NV. This is a long-term placement position paying $13-$22/hr on a Monday-Friday daytime schedule. In this role, you will prepare and cook menu items from scratch using a grill, sauté station, and fryer, and serve guests in a high-volume, banquet-style dining environment. This project is expected to run 2-3 years, offering steady, consistent work throughout.

Monday to Friday 8:00 AM to 4:00 pm (Daytime shift. Evening, weekend, holiday, and overtime shifts may be required).

Dining/Banquet Hall (tent) Responsibilities Cook menu items from scratch using fresh ingredients and standardized recipes on a grill, sauté station, and commercial fryer during service. Wash, chop, and portion ingredients to stock stations before and during service. Take guest orders accurately and deliver food and beverages to tables. Wash and sanitize dishes, glassware, pots, pans, and utensils using a commercial dishwasher and three-compartment sink. Maintain cleanliness and organization of kitchen stations, dishwashing areas, and dining areas throughout the shift. Support both front-of-house and back-of-house tasks during peak service periods. Minimum Requirements 6+ months of recent work history in a kitchen, catering, banquet hall, food production, or restaurant environment. Preferred Qualifications Experience operating a grill, sauté station, or commercial fryer in a production or restaurant setting. Familiarity with scratch cooking and following standardized recipes. Experience taking guest orders and serving food in a restaurant or banquet environment. Experience working in high-volume food service or catering operations. Knowledge of food safety and sanitation practices — ServSafe certification or equivalent is a plus. Ability to work at a fast pace throughout the shift. Ability to stand for extended periods in a hot kitchen environment. Ability to bend, reach, stoop, and perform repetitive tasks.
