About Us :

Park Street Hospitality is a dynamic, growing hospitality company based in the heart of downtown Glens Falls, NY. We have built a premier reputation for quality and consistency through our flagship event venue, The Park Theater, and our latest project, Park & Elm—a multi-concept eatery featuring a fine dining restaurant, market, and delicatessen. We cater to a wide range of clients both on- and off-premise, executing everything from intimate rehearsal dinners to 500+ guest fundraising galas. We are currently expanding our events team and are looking for enthusiastic, experienced Event Captains, Servers, Runners, and Bartenders to join us!

The Role:

As a Banquet Server, you are the face of our events. You will play a crucial role in creating memorable experiences for our guests by providing attentive, professional, and welcoming service from setup to breakdown.

Key Responsibilities:

Guest Experience:

Welcome guests, assist with seating, and provide exceptional hospitality throughout the duration of the event.

Food & Beverage Service:

Circulate the room with passed appetizers and beverages, take orders, and serve plated or buffet-style meals.

Clear Communication:

Answer guest questions, convey special dietary instructions to the culinary and bar teams, and direct guests to venue amenities.

Event Setup & Teardown:

Assist with the complete preparation and closing of events, including setting up and packing away tables, chairs, linens, place settings, and buffet stations.

Team Collaboration:

Support fellow staff members, captains, and management to ensure a seamless operation and absolute guest satisfaction.

Safety & Sanitation:

Maintain a clean workspace and strictly adhere to all health, safety, and quality regulations.

Requirements & Qualifications:

Experience:

Previous experience as a banquet server, restaurant server, or event captain is highly preferred.

Physical Stamina:

Ability to meet the physical demands of the hospitality industry, including standing for long periods, navigating stairs, and lifting/carrying heavy items (up to 30+ lbs) safely.

Soft Skills:

Excellent interpersonal and communication skills with a courteous, customer-first attitude.

Team Player:

Ability to take direction well and work cohesively as part of a fast-paced team.

Flexibility:

Willingness to work a varied schedule based on event needs, including early mornings, late nights, weekends, and holidays.

Education & Age:
