07/31/2026 The Spencerport School District is currently accepting applications for Food Service Helpers (2 positions) to assist in the kitchen of Wilson High School (West). Applications will be reviewed and selected candidates will be contacted for a screening interview. Applicants must be fingerprinted and cleared for employment for the NYS Education Department before employment begins.
Job Description/Nature of Work:
General kitchen work includes but not limited to preparation of foods, dishing/portioning of foods, set up of serving lines, cashing, serving, and cleanup of serving lines, and kitchen areas including washing pots and pans. Participates in the maintenance of acceptable health, safety and sanitary practices as required by various regulatory agencies. Participates in the care and safe operation of the kitchen equipment.
Job Requirements:
Demonstrates proficiency in cash handling, including accurate operation of the cash registers and execution of cashier duties Sufficient communication skills, manual dexterity and ability to perform food service skills under time constraints without close supervision Safely operate, clean, and maintain utensils and equipment used in a school kitchen. Follow written recipes and menus as provided. Adhere to sanitation requirements in the handling and preparation of food. Establish and maintain effective working relationships with students and staff. Physical stamina required to meet job demands include: Standing for extended periods on hard surfaces Lifting items up to 30 lbs. Bending and reaching

4 hours per day; 9:00AM-1:15
PM Salary/Rate of Pay:
Starting at $16.58 per hour, based on previous experience
