Job Description

Job Overview We are hiring energetic experienced Banquet Captain/Event Supervisors to join our team! A Taste of Excellence is one of Northeast Ohio's premier off-site catering companies, proudly serving the Cleveland/Akron/Canton area. We specialize in high-end events, including weddings, corporate functions, galas, and social occasions. Our clients expect excellence, and we are seeking professional, polished individuals who can deliver a first-class experience. We are looking for composed individuals who can handle fast-paced events & deliver excellent guest service, while supervising a team of servers, bartenders & other back-of-the-house team members. They collaborate with Event Planners, Day-of-Cooordinators/Hosts to understand guest counts, themes, and special requirements, ensuring every detail is executed flawlessly. Responsibilities include assigning tasks, conduction pre-event briefings, monitoring performance, and providing hands-on training on service techniques, menu knowledge & customer interaction. Banquet Captains act as the primary point for guests during events, addressing special requests, resolving complaints, and ensuring overall satisfaction. They coordinate with Event Managers & Chefs to ensure timely food and beverage service and maintain high standards of presentation. They manage the pacing of service, monitor inventory of supplies, enforce health & safety standards, and oversee post-event clean-up to prepare to leave the venue.
Required Skills & Qualifications:
Strong leadership & team management skills (excellent communication, interpersonal, etc,.) Ability to multitask and remain composed in fast-paced, high-pressure environments. Knowledge of banquet service standards, food safety, and event logistics. Experience in hospitality, catering, or event management. Open availability is preferred (flexible scheduling!) Saturday availability & availability to commute is a must! Will report to

From $22.50 per hour
