Above all you enjoy knowing that your assignments will be varied and no two days will be the same. What you will do Prepare nutritious, high-quality meals for PPS students. Providing excellent customer service. Cashiering and handling cash transactions with student customers. Ability to handle food safely and efficiently. Maintaining a sanitary environment at all times. Ability to multi-task and work in a fast-paced environment. What you bring You're able to work quickly and efficiently following verbal and written instructions. You're able to lift up to 50 lbs.; push or pull 70-100 lbs.; use a full range of motion at standard height work stations; able to follow employee dress code. You're able to receive directions in English over the phone and at the work site. You're able to work with money and make change while serving. You'll maintain a current Multnomah County Food Handler's Certification (not required at time of hire but needed in order to begin work). You have basic computer skills and the ability to work with a computerized cash register. You're willing to travel to all schools throughout the district.

Preferably:

You enjoy cooking and working with kids and students in grades Pre-K to 12th grade. You have experience working with children, school staff, and Nutrition Services employees You have experience cooking in a commercial kitchen What we offer

Schedule:

August to June (170 days per year) when school is in session for students following the district calendar.
