Required Qualifications:

Six months food service experience Demonstrated ability to: learn procedures and practices for food handling, sanitation, cleanliness. provide exemplary customer service to all customers. use food service equipment and utensils use computer cash register. understand and follow written and oral instructions. Basic math skills for recipe and quantity control. Working effectively with other employees. Working effectively with customers. Demonstrated good attendance record. Demonstrated customer service skills. Must follow basic dress code as established by branded concepts and hygiene standards set by University Dining. Excellent oral, written, interpersonal communication skills. Commitment to inclusive practices and working with diverse student populations. May be required to work in cold storage areas. May be required to have a valid driver's license to drive university van, box truck or motorized skid. Successful interview. Successful completion of three background checks.

This position is represented by a labor union and is subject to the terms and conditions of the AFSCME Collective Bargaining Agreement. Ability to work on campus. Flexible work schedule as dictated by the needs of the university. Dining and Conference Services staff may be required to work evenings and weekends. Dining and Conference Services staff, as essential employees, need to arrive at work on a timely basis even when there is a publicly announced delayed opening or closing.
