! We are looking for an assistant baker and catering/wedding coordinator. Together it will be around 35-40 hours a week. The catering coordinator will facilitate cake tastings, taking catering and wedding orders, delivering wedding cakes (set up done on site) I am looking for someone who is organized, communicative, dependable, responsible and can take charge coordinating orders. Cake decorating is not required but a plus if you have the experience. You will receive a company phone to handle calls, texts and emails. You will need access to a computer or laptop to answer emails and create invoices. You will answer our contact form from the website: inquiries about wedding cakes and cateringCake tastings and any other consultations can be flexible on your schedule.

Weekends are required due to a lot of cake deliveries and weddings do happen on Fridays and Saturdays. You will receive hands-on training in learning products, flavors and how to run our catering.
BAKING ASSISTANT
Professional baking or culinary school experience is preferred, we do provide on-the-job training specific to our product and processes. You will learn mixing, finish work on cookies, cupcakes and brownies, cake decorating. Everything is made from scratch, attention to detail is very important. I would like to see at least a year of experience in working as a baker in a professional atmosphere, knowing how to stack and finish cakes, and mixing recipes. Being efficient, multi tasking jobs and dependability is very important as we do a lot of production. Looking for someone who has pretty open days throughout the week, it will end up being 4-5 days a week. Saturdays is required. A set schedule is what we usually do. Baking shifts start 5:30-6:00 am and are finished between 1-2pm. 13.50-14.50. Depending on experience and efficiency. We would start out at 13.50 for training and then after 30-60 days do a review and can earn a raise. Catering orders also earn you commission.
