Job Description
Job description The Breakfast Attendant is responsible for serving our guests during breakfast at the hotel, setting up, maintaining and breaking down the buffet and cleaning the dining area. With minimal supervision, provide exceptional guest service by welcoming them and be well attended at all times. Maintaining the eating area in a clean and organized condition at all times. This person must have good communication skills and work well in a fast-paced position with constant customer contact. Job Duties:
Behind theScenes:
- Receive supplies, date and rotate stock.
- Perform essential job functions in accordance with local health department codes, standards and regulations.
- Follow all food, health and safety procedures at all times including wearing gloves while handling food and washing hands regularly.
Shift:
- Prep breakfast menu to specific times
- Set-up and breakdown of Breakfast
- Make fresh coffee as needed, stock juice, and milk machines or dispensers
- Inspect the cleanliness and presentation of all china, glass, and silverware prior to use.
- Maintain cleanliness of work areas throughout the shift, practicing clean-as-you-go procedures.
During Service Hours:
- Bus and clean tables, straightening dining area
- Maintain the cleanliness of the dining area.
- Restock drink and food items and supplies according to standards.
- Monitor and maintain correct temperature of food at all times.
End of Shift:
- At the close of the complimentary breakfast clean the tables, clean and mop the breakfast area, empty the trash receptacles, store or dispose of all drinks, food items and supplies in accordance with operating standards and health codes.
- Wash, dry and stock dishes.
- Clean all equipment and properly store it according to standards.
- Returning reusable supplies to storage.
- Locking refrigerators, restocking items, turning off lights, locking doors, and completing daily cleaning checklist.
Guest Facing:
- Welcoming and providing with personalized service to all guests.
- Remain professional in appearance and conduct at all times.
- Attend to hotel guest needs and requests.
- Must learn about our property, services, hours of operation, locations, nearby places of interest etc.
- Respond in a courteous and prompt manner to all guest question and/or concerns.
- Understand and respond to customers' needs and ensure a high level of guest satisfaction. Required Skills and Experience
- Background in food and beverage service preferred but not required.
- Ability to carry multiple dishes at one time.
- Excellent guest service skills
- Ability to work in a fast-paced, high pressure environment
- Ability to shift and manage multiple priorities
- Must be able to lift at least 25 pounds, unassisted.
