NUTRITION SUBSTITUTE
Peninsula Agency on Aging (PAA) is currently seeking applicants for the position of Substitute Nutrition Coordinator to coordinate the delivery of meals to seniors through the use of volunteers and work in the Senior Dining Clubs as needed. Introduction Peninsula Agency on Aging has been providing services that have enabled seniors to live independently since 1974. Our mission is to support the independence and quality of life of Peninsula residents, primarily 60 years and over, by advocating, arranging, or providing vital human services. Key Responsibilities As a Nutrition Substitute, you will have the vital role of substituting for the Congregate Dining and for Home Delivered Meals programs. Essential Skills and Experience We are looking for applicants who possess a general knowledge of meal service in a safe and sanitary manner; some knowledge of nutritional needs of older persons; ability to follow oral and written instructions; ability to use computers; proficient in Microsoft Word and Excel; skill in coordinating groups of volunteers to achieve departmental goals; ability to relate well with senior citizens and the general public. Any combination of education and experience will be considered. Valid driver's license issued by Virginia and reliable transportation required.
