Responsibilities Prepare and serve a diverse range of breakfast items, ensuring quality and presentation standards are met. Maintain cleanliness and organization of the breakfast area, including tables, counters, and food stations, following food safety sanitizing procedures. Assist with food preparation tasks such as chopping, assembling dishes, and portioning ingredients accurately. Operate kitchen equipment safely and efficiently, including toasters, coffee machines, blenders, and warming trays. Greet guests warmly in person, take their orders accurately, process cash or POS transactions smoothly using POS systems, and handle weight-based food portions responsibly. Ensure compliance with food safety management protocols and proper food handling practices at all times. Support catering or banquet setups as needed, including serving food and beverages during special events or large groups. Follow manual handling procedures when lifting or moving heavy trays or supplies to prevent injury. Collaborate with team members to deliver seamless service during busy breakfast hours while maintaining high standards of customer satisfaction. Qualifications Previous experience in fine dining or restaurant environments is highly desirable. Strong knowledge of food preparation techniques and food safety sanitizing procedures. Experience operating kitchen equipment such as coffee machines, toasters, or commercial ovens. Familiarity with POS systems for processing transactions efficiently. Knowledge of wine pairing or beverage service is a plus but not required. Excellent customer service skills with an ability to engage positively with guests in person. Ability to handle manual tasks such as weight handling and food processing safely and accurately. Prior catering or banquet experience is advantageous; culinary experience in the food industry is preferred. Basic math skills for managing cash transactions and portion control effectively. Food safety certification or training is beneficial; dietary aide or catering experience adds value to your application.
