Meat Wrapper II Department:

Meat Reports to: Meat Manager/ Assistant Meat Manager Starting rate of pay: $17.56/hr

Position Summary :

Wraps and displays quality meat department products while providing standard customer service.

Job duties:

Greets customers when within ten feet and four seconds of contact. Stocks and rotates meat items, to maintain freshness and quality, removes damaged items from cases Packs meat products on trays, then forwards to wrapping Operates wrapping machine, checks it for working order, maintains price integrity Completes basic cleaning of department, by washing and sanitizing work tools and area Performs other related duties as needed as assigned by manager

Capabilities:

Stand for long periods of time, very frequent walking back and forth from meat/seafood warehouse to floor Carry up to 50 pounds, push and pull up to 1000 pounds, frequent motions with arms/hands to display products Use of proper safety procedures Able to listen to directions and follow through independently Have good communication and observation skills Able to work with a team and independently when needed

Job Skills:

Previous experience working with the public Knowledge of when to pull meat if it does not meet standards Working knowledge of different seafood types and cuts of meats required Able to manage time well

Environment:

Air condition while in store, 40-50 degrees while working in the meat department, freezer and chill.

Other:

Must be at least 18 years of age to operate machinery
