Job Description

The Role at a Glance We are looking for an experienced and motivated Executive Chef to join our team in Birmingham, AL and the surrounding areas. In this leadership role, you will oversee culinary operations, lead and develop kitchen teams, and ensure the delivery of high-quality food while maintaining strong standards for safety, sanitation, service, and cost control. What You'll Be Doing Leading and managing a culinary team while fostering a positive, productive work environment. Overseeing all aspects of food production, including purchasing, food specifications, preparation, service, presentation, and sanitation. Developing and maintaining standardized recipes and production processes to ensure consistent food quality. Managing food and labor costs while supporting budget and financial objectives. Monitoring inventory, purchasing, ordering, and overall cost controls. Training, coaching, and developing culinary team members. Ensuring compliance with food safety, sanitation, and company standards. Supporting the planning and execution of catering, special events, and other culinary initiatives.
What We're Looking For Must-haves:
At least 3 years of progressive culinary leadership experience. Proven experience leading, managing, and developing culinary teams. Experience with budget statements, food costs, inventory, and cost controls. Proficiency with Microsoft Office programs. Strong organizational, communication, and leadership skills. Ability to maintain high standards for food quality, safety, and sanitation. Flexible availability, including the ability to work evenings and weekends as business needs require.
Nice-to-haves:
Associate's degree in Culinary Arts or a related field. Catering and special event experience. ServSafe certification. Where You'll Be Working Birmingham, AL and surrounding areas
Compensation:
Up to $65,000 per year, based on experience.
Pay:
Up to $65,000.00 per year
