We are very excited to be opening our third location in Carlsbad! We are currently completing building our team! We pride ourselves on delivering exceptional food, fostering a positive team culture, and creating memorable dining experiences for our guests. We are looking for a driven and highly organized Sous Chef to help lead our back-of-house team. The Role As our Sous Chef, you will be the heartbeat of our daily culinary operations. You will not just be cooking; you will be cultivating and leading a talented crew, driving food quality, and ensuring our kitchen runs safely and efficiently during every shift.
Key Responsibilities:
Team Leadership:
Recruit, train, and mentor our kitchen staff to create a top notch team of dedicated individuals that truly care about delivering great customer experiences.
Quality & Safety:
Maintain strict adherence to standardized recipes, portion controls, and ServSafe/local health department regulations.
Inventory & Cost Control:
Manage food and supply inventory, oversee deliveries, and optimize profitability while minimizing waste.
Kitchen Workflow:
Set up our prep schedules, manage daily food production, and ensure smooth ticket flow during busy service hours.
What We Are Looking For:
Proven experience as a Lead Line Cook, Kitchen Manager, Head Chef, or Assistant Kitchen Manager. Strong background in a high-volume, fast-paced restaurant environment. Exceptional communication skills and an empowering, hands-on leadership style. Solid understanding of food costing, inventory software, labor laws, and kitchen finances. Current ServSafe Food Handler certification required; Manager Certification preferred.
