The Sushi Chef will be responsible for crafting sushi dishes with precision, ensuring food safety, and maintaining a clean and organized workspace. $70,000 - $75,000/year plus tips

Key Responsibilities:

Prepare and present high-quality sushi, including sashimi, nigiri, rolls, and specialty dishes. Work efficiently in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail. Ensure consistency in presentation, portioning, and flavor of all dishes. Maintain proper storage and handling of ingredients, following food safety guidelines. Maintain cleanliness and organization of the sushi station, adhering to sanitation and hygiene regulations. Interact with customers professionally, answering questions and making recommendations.

Requirements:

5+ years of experience in high-end sushi preparation. Preferred training and work experience as sushi chef in Japan. Good knowledge of sushi preparation, knife techniques, and Japanese cuisine. Understanding of food safety and hygiene regulations. Ability to work under pressure and in a fast-paced kitchen environment. Strong attention to detail and artistic presentation skills. Excellent teamwork and communication skills. Flexibility to work evenings, weekends, and holidays as needed.
