Duties Prepare a variety of sushi, sashimi, and other Japanese dishes with precision and artistry, adhering strictly to recipes and presentation standards Operate and maintain kitchen equipment such as sushi knives, rice cookers, and refrigeration units safely and efficiently Plan and execute menu items that meet quality standards while managing high-volume food production demands Ensure all food handling, storage, and sanitation procedures comply with food safety regulations to maintain a safe dining environment Assist in developing new sushi recipes and menu offerings based on culinary trends and customer preferences Maintain cleanliness of workstations, utensils, and equipment through rigorous sanitizing procedures Collaborate with team members to ensure timely service during busy hours while upholding exceptional quality standards Qualifications Proven experience as a Sushi Chef or in a similar culinary role within fine dining or high-volume restaurants Strong knife skills with the ability to prepare fish, vegetables, and rice efficiently and safely Knowledge of food safety management practices, including sanitizing procedures and proper food handling techniques Experience with menu planning, recipe adherence, and food production processes Familiarity with operating kitchen equipment such as rice cookers, slicers, grills, and poaching tools Background in dietary department or dietary aide experience is a plus for understanding special dietary needs Excellent food preparation skills with an emphasis on presentation and quality assurance in a fast-paced environment Join us to craft exquisite sushi dishes that captivate our guests!
