As a Sushi Chef, you will be responsible for preparing high-quality sushi dishes with precision, creativity, and consistency. Your expertise will help elevate our dining experience, delighting guests with authentic flavors and beautiful presentation. This role offers an exciting opportunity to showcase your culinary artistry in a fast-paced, energetic environment dedicated to excellence and innovation. Responsibilities Prepare and assemble sushi dishes according to established recipes and presentation standards. Maintain the highest standards of cleanliness, food safety, and hygiene in all work areas. Select fresh ingredients, including fish, rice, vegetables, and seaweed, ensuring quality and freshness. Create innovative sushi rolls and other Japanese-inspired dishes to enhance menu offerings. Manage ingredient inventory, monitor stock levels, and place orders as needed to minimize waste. Collaborate with team members to ensure smooth kitchen operations and timely service delivery. Adhere to all health regulations and safety protocols while working efficiently under pressure. Experience Proven experience as a Sushi Chef or in a similar culinary role specializing in Japanese cuisine. Strong knowledge of sushi preparation techniques, knife skills, and ingredient handling. Familiarity with food safety standards and sanitation procedures. Experience working in fast-paced restaurant environments with a focus on quality and consistency. Ability to work collaboratively within a team while maintaining attention to detail. Culinary training or certification related to Japanese cuisine is preferred but not required. Experience with menu development, plating artistry, and creative presentation is a plus.
