Tomikawa Japanese Restaurant & Sushi Bar in Pasadena, CA is looking to add some more talent to it's sushi team! Sushi chefs earn a great hourly wage and share in the tip pool. Sushi Chefs are essential to a successful sushi bar. Selected candidates will work hand in hand with other sushi chefs to create deliciously beautiful sushi creations. They will be leaders in the bar and show junior sushi chefs how to break down fish and how to create sushi nigiri, sashimi, rolls, and much more. Sushi chefs earn a competitive base wage starting at $20.00 per hour (or more, depending on experience) and share in the tip pool. Sushi Chef earn tips by tier. The higher your tier, the more tip share you will receive. The idea is that the seasoned chefs will help carry the entry level chefs, thus they take earn more tips. All tips are paid out to all non-management employees on a weekly basis via an ADP pay card. Tier 1 can expect to earn about $180 per week. These are typically entry level chefs. Tier 4 can expect to earn $750-$800 per week. These are typically seasoned sushi chefs.
