Responsibilities Prepare and produce a variety of gelato flavors using traditional and innovative techniques, ensuring consistency and quality. Decorate and present gelato creations with artistic flair, including cake decorating elements when applicable. Manage the packaging process for retail and catering orders, maintaining cleanliness and efficiency. Handle all aspects of food production, from ingredient measurement to mixing, churning, and storage. Maintain strict adherence to food safety protocols and proper food handling procedures at all times. Assist with kitchen operations, including cleaning, sanitation, inventory management, and equipment maintenance. Collaborate with team members to develop new flavors and improve existing recipes to keep offerings fresh and exciting. Requirements Proven experience in pastry arts, baking, or culinary roles within the food industry; previous restaurant or catering experience is highly valued. Strong skills in food preparation, knife handling, and food presentation. Knowledge of food safety standards and proper food handling techniques. Ability to operate kitchen equipment efficiently and safely in a fast-paced environment. Excellent customer service skills to engage with guests and team members positively. Experience in packaging products for retail or catering purposes is a plus. A background in culinary arts or pastry experience with a focus on frozen desserts is preferred.
