In this vital role, you will assist the Chef in overseeing daily kitchen operations, ensuring the highest standards of food quality, safety, and service. Your passion for Italian culinary excellence and team management will drive the success of our food offerings, from fine dining experiences to events. This position offers an exciting opportunity to showcase your culinary skills while inspiring and supervising a talented kitchen staff. You will play a key role in maintaining a vibrant, efficient kitchen environment that delights our guests and upholds our reputation for exceptional cuisine. Responsibilities Assist in managing daily kitchen operations, including food preparation, cooking, and presentation to meet high-quality standards. Supervise and motivate kitchen staff, providing leadership and guidance to ensure smooth shift management and team cohesion. Oversee food production processes, including menu planning, portion control, and inventory management to minimize waste and control costs. Ensure strict adherence to food safety regulations and proper handling procedures across all kitchen activities. Coordinate with the management and service staff for special dietary needs and oversee catering events, banquets, and large-scale food service operations. Monitor inventory levels, conduct regular stock checks, and manage ordering to ensure the availability of ingredients while maintaining inventory control. Support the development of new menu items, maintain consistency in food quality, and uphold the restaurant's culinary standards. Requirements Proven experience in full-service dining establishments with strong Italian culinary skills and a passion for excellence. Demonstrated supervising experience with a track record of effective team management in a fast-paced environment. Extensive knowledge of food production, food safety practices, and kitchen management including inventory control and cost management. Experience with banquet service, catering operations, and large-scale food handling is highly desirable. Strong leadership qualities with excellent communication skills to motivate staff and coordinate shifts efficiently. Familiarity with dietary requirements, menu planning, and hospitality standards within the food industry. Ability to thrive under pressure while maintaining attention to detail in all aspects of food service.
