Job Description

Sous Chef Full time Chef Paul Barron is seeking a professional, dependable, and detail oriented Sous Chef to join our catering team. This role is perfect for an experienced culinary professional who enjoys working as part of a team, takes pride in exceptional food and presentation, and is excited to help create memorable dining experiences. As a Sous Chef, your role will be to support Chef Paul Barron with the preparation and execution of in home dinner parties, catered events, and private gatherings at The Table. You will assist with menu preparation, dishwashing, cooking, cleaning, event preparation, plating, kitchen organization, and service while helping ensure that every detail meets the standards of Chef Paul Barron and the team. This is a full time, typically involving evenings and weekends, with occasional weekday events. Flexibility is required, as our events take place at various locations and times. The ideal candidate is someone with culinary experience, and who is organized, dependable, detail oriented, and comfortable working in a fast paced environment. Responsibilities Assist Chef Paul Barron with food preparation and execution of event menus Prepare ingredients, sauces, proteins, vegetables, and other menu components as directed Assist with cooking, plating, garnishing, and presentation Help maintain proper timing and organization throughout service Work closely with Chef and Catering Team Members to ensure smooth event execution Maintain a clean, organized, and efficient kitchen throughout preparation and service Assist with event setup and breakdown Dishwashing and regularly cleaning Help manage, organize, and properly store ingredients and equipment Step in to lead specific kitchen tasks or stations when needed Work well with Chef Paul Barron Team Represent the Chef Paul Barron brand with professionalism and hospitality Qualifications Prior professional kitchen experience required Culinary school, restaurant, catering, or private dining experience preferred Strong food preparation and cooking skills Ability to follow recipes, menus, and direction while maintaining attention to detail Strong communication and teamwork skills Ability to work in a fast paced environment Ability to work evenings and weekends Ability to work in a variety of kitchen environments Positive attitude and willingness to support the entire team Strong interest in hospitality and delivering an exceptional guest experience

$20.00 - $24.00 per hour
