Located directly on the Intracoastal Waterway, GG's combines an elevated dining experience with the relaxed energy of South Florida's waterfront. As part of We Care Hospitality, GG's is built around a simple belief: if you care about each other and care about the guest, everything else falls into place. We are seeking an experienced and accomplished Executive Chef to lead the culinary team at GG's Waterfront. This is a hands-on leadership position for a chef who brings strong culinary instincts, operational discipline, and a genuine passion for developing people. The Executive Chef will oversee all aspects of the kitchen operation while maintaining the high standards of food quality, consistency, presentation, and execution that define GG's. The ideal candidate is equally comfortable developing menus, leading a team, managing costs, and working the line during a busy service. You should be a confident leader who can establish clear expectations, hold a team accountable, and create a kitchen culture built on professionalism, teamwork, and pride. Responsibilities Lead all culinary operations at GG's Waterfront, ensuring consistent execution of food quality and restaurant standards Develop and maintain a menu that reflects GG's coastal, chef-driven identity and South Florida setting Lead, train, coach, and develop the culinary team while building a strong culture of accountability and teamwork Work closely with the Executive Sous Chef and Sous Chefs to ensure effective daily kitchen operations Establish and maintain recipes, preparation standards, plating specifications, and quality controls Oversee kitchen organization, prep, production, service, sanitation, and food safety Manage food cost, portion control, waste, product utilization, and overall kitchen profitability Oversee ordering, receiving, inventory, storage, and product quality Build strong relationships with purveyors and ensure consistent sourcing of high-quality ingredients Collaborate with FOH leadership to ensure seamless communication and an exceptional overall guest experience Monitor kitchen performance and identify opportunities to improve efficiency, quality, and profitability Ensure compliance with company policies, health and safety standards, and applicable regulations Lead by example during service and maintain a strong presence in the kitchen Participate in menu development, tastings, special events, and ongoing culinary initiatives Create a professional kitchen environment where team members are challenged, supported, and given opportunities to grow What We're Looking For Proven experience as an Executive Chef or Chef de Cuisine in a high-volume, full-service restaurant Strong background in seafood, coastal cuisine, and contemporary American cooking preferred Demonstrated ability to lead and develop a professional culinary team Strong knowledge of kitchen operations, food cost, labor management, and inventory control Excellent understanding of food safety and sanitation Strong menu development and culinary execution skills Excellent communication, organization, and problem-solving abilities Hands-on leadership style with high personal standards Ability to remain composed and effective in a high-volume environment Strong business acumen with an understanding of how culinary decisions impact profitability A genuine passion for hospitality and creating memorable dining experiences Professional, accountable, and team-oriented leadership style Open availability including weekends, nights, and Holidays The Executive Chef at GG's should be more than a talented cook. We are looking for a culinary leader who understands that a great kitchen is built through people, consistency, discipline, and pride. You should have the ability to inspire a team while maintaining high expectations. You know when to step onto the line, when to coach, when to listen, and when to hold someone accountable. Most importantly, you understand that the kitchen is a critical part of the guest experience. Great food, strong operations, and genuine hospitality must work together.
Benefits Paid Time Off:
High-Level Management PTO begins at 5 days after 6 months of service and increases based on tenure: After 6 months: 5 days After 1 year: 10 days After 2 years: 15 days After 3 years: 17 days After 4 years: 19 days After 5 years: 20 days (4 weeks)
