Job Description

We are seeking a skilled and motivated Sushi Chef to join our kitchen team in Sunny Isles, FL . The Sushi Chef will be responsible for preparing high-quality sushi and Japanese-inspired dishes in a fast-paced environment while maintaining cleanliness, consistency, and food safety standards. This role requires strong knife skills, attention to detail, creativity, and a commitment to delivering fresh, visually appealing menu items. 2 openings available:
Mornings:
8:00 am to 4:00 pm or 9:00 am to 5:00 pm
Afternoons:
2:00 pm to 11:00 pm Must be able to work weekends. $19.00 per hour
Responsibilities:
Prepare sushi rolls, sashimi, nigiri, and other menu items according to recipes and presentation standards Ensure all food is prepared with freshness, quality, and consistency in mind Set up and stock sushi station with necessary ingredients and supplies before service Maintain proper handling, storage, and rotation of seafood, rice, vegetables, and other ingredients Monitor inventory levels and communicate supply needs to kitchen management Maintain a clean, organized, and sanitary work area at all times Follow all food safety, sanitation, and health regulations Assist with prep work, plating, and kitchen support as needed Work closely with the kitchen team to ensure timely and smooth service Uphold presentation standards and ensure dishes are visually appealing to guests
Requirements:
Previous experience as a Sushi Chef or in a similar role preferred Strong knife skills and knowledge of sushi preparation techniques Understanding of seafood handling, rice preparation, and food safety standards Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment Strong attention to detail and consistency in presentation Excellent teamwork and communication skills Ability to stand for extended periods and lift up to 50 lbs Reliable transportation and punctual attendance #IND3
